iPhone · iPad · Mac

The boat and the mariner, in one record.

Haul-outs, surveys, engine hours and the systems aboard that each keep their own schedule. And on the other side, the days underway that accumulate toward a credential. Both run on hours and dates that come due.

The vessel

A boat keeps time differently.

No odometer, a season that starts and ends, and work that only happens when the boat is out of the water. NauticalTrax is built around engine hours, calendar dates and the haul-out cycle rather than miles.

Marina view

Your whole fleet at a glance — HIN, registration, specs and photos, one card per vessel.

Engine hours

Kept current automatically from voyage and fuel entries, so the hour meter is never the thing you forgot to write down.

Haul-out records

Bottom paint, zincs, running gear and cost, kept as history with the next haul-out already tracked.

Survey records

Insurance, pre-purchase, damage and condition & value surveys, with findings recorded and the next one scheduled.

Voyage log

Route, duration, en-route stops, fuel consumed and trip grouping — a season of cruising, recorded leg by leg.

Fuel log

Fill-ups, cost, economy over time and fluid checks, tied to the voyages they belong to.

Systems aboard

Generator, watermaker, windlass and the rest — each on its own interval, because they do not wear at the same rate.

Combined PDF report

Haul-out and survey history in a single document — the one a buyer, surveyor or underwriter asks for.

Sea service

The time you put in counts for something.

Sea service toward a credential is recorded per voyage, not remembered in bulk years later. Every leg you log adds to the totals.

Per-voyage sea service

Waters type, tonnage, capacity served, days of service and hours underway — captured on the voyage rather than reconstructed afterwards.

Credential tracking

Endorsements, issue and expiration dates, and medical certificate expiration, each with its own due date.

Sea service PDF export

One tap for your service log with lifetime totals and current credential status, ready to work from.

The shared engine

Everything VehicleTrax does, underneath.

NauticalTrax is not a smaller app with marine words pasted on. It is the same record-keeping engine that ships in VehicleTrax today, with the marine half built on top.

  • Service records with reusable service-item templates for recurring work
  • Parts catalog with cost and supplier tracking
  • Improvements and upgrades, documented with photos
  • Recurring expenditures — insurance, slip fees, subscriptions, memberships
  • Vendor and yard directory
  • Reusable checklists with nested sub-items for departure and winterizing
  • Dashboard summarizing status, upcoming work and costs
  • Projects and punch lists for refits and seasonal prep
  • PDF and CSV export for every table in the app
  • Custom-scoped reports — one vessel or the whole fleet
  • iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac
  • Manual and automatic backups

Pricing

What NauticalTrax is not

NauticalTrax is a personal record-keeping tool. The sea service you record here is a working record to help you assemble an application — it is not an official sea service form, and it is not submitted anywhere on your behalf. Nor does it replace a licensed surveyor's report or a yard's work order. Keep the documents your licensing authority and insurer require; use NauticalTrax to have the history and the totals ready when you need them.
