Privacy Policy

The short version

There is no AeroNauticalTrax account, no sign-up, no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no server of ours that receives your records. Your vehicles, aircraft, vessels, service history, fuel logs, parts and costs are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account — which we cannot read.

Two things are declared on our App Store privacy labels, because the apps need them to make features work: precise location and purchase history. Neither is used to track you, and neither is sold or shared. Both are described in full below.

Location

The apps can record where you are at two specific moments, and only when you choose to create the record:

• When you log a fuel or fill-up entry, so the entry remembers where you fueled
• At the start and end of a trip, so the trip log has its endpoints

That is the whole of it. There is no background location, no continuous tracking, and no record of where you are at any other time. The position is saved as part of that fuel or trip entry — on your device, and in your private iCloud account alongside everything else you enter.

Because it is attached to records held in your personal iCloud account, Apple's privacy label describes this as precise location, linked to your identity, used for app functionality and not used for tracking. It is never used for advertising, never combined with data from other companies, and never shared with third parties.

Location is optional. If you decline the permission, or turn it off later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, the apps keep working normally — fuel and trip entries simply record no position, and you can type a place in yourself.

Purchases

Each app is free to try, with a one-time in-app purchase that removes the limits. All billing is handled by Apple. Payment details never pass through the app and are never visible to us.

What the app does read is your purchase history for that app — the App Store receipt recording which unlock you own — which it checks in order to enable the paid features across your devices. Because that entitlement is tied to your Apple Account, Apple's privacy label describes it as purchase history, linked to your identity, used for app functionality and not used for tracking.

What stays out of it entirely

Your actual records — vehicles, aircraft, vessels, maintenance and service history, fuel logs, parts, projects, expenses and photos — are not collected by us in any form. They are written to your device and to your own private iCloud container, which we have no access to. We cannot read, export or recover them, and nothing about them reaches us.

• No name, email address or account credentials
• No advertising identifiers, and no tracking across apps or websites
• No usage analytics, crash telemetry or behavioral profiling
• No third-party SDKs, advertising networks or data brokers
• No data sold, shared or transferred to anyone

Our App Store privacy labels

For anyone comparing this policy against the App Store listing, the labels declare exactly two data types and nothing else:

• Precise Location — used for app functionality, linked to your identity, not used for tracking
• Purchase History — used for app functionality, linked to your identity, not used for tracking

Photos and attachments

If you attach a photo to a maintenance record or an upgrade, the app asks your permission for the photo you select. That image is stored with your record and is never uploaded anywhere outside your own device and iCloud account.

Reports you export

PDF reports are generated on your device. Where an exported report goes after that — email, Files, AirDrop, a printer — is entirely your choice, and we receive no copy.

Children

These are general-audience utilities and are not directed at children. They ask for no personal information from anyone, and the location and purchase data described above are used only to operate features you choose to use.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change with it.
